While defending the challenging total of 214 runs set by India, Sri Lanka managed to score 172 runs. With this victory, Team India has secured a place in the final of the Asia Cup. India has now notched up their second win in the Super 4 stage.

India’s bowlers, led by Kuldeep Yadav, wreaked havoc on Sri Lanka’s batsmen. Sri Lanka got off to a terrible start while chasing India’s challenging total of 214 runs. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj put the Sri Lankan batsmen in trouble from the beginning, dismissing the top three batsmen for just 73 runs. Sri Lanka’s top-order batsmen struggled, with Nissanka scoring 6, Karunaratne 2, Kushal Mendis 15, Samarawickrama 17, and Asalanka 22 runs before returning to the pavilion.
