Kushi movie review: Back with Kushi after Tuck Jagadish, director Shiva Nirvana once again delivers an adorable and engaging love story, with Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu shining in the lead roles.

In his quest for a Mani Ratnam-esque fantasy life, BSNL employee Viplav (Vijay Deverakonda) willingly relocates to Kashmir, only to be greeted by a harsh dose of reality. Amidst the chaos, his heart finds its way to Aradhya (Samantha Ruth Prabhu), who assumes the identity of a Pakistani begum. For Viplav and Aradhya, a cross-country love story might have been simpler than dealing with the complexities of their intertwined family histories.

In classic Tollywood fashion, Viplav embarks on a relentless pursuit of Aradhya, regardless of her discomfort, and predictably, love blossoms between them. While the first half of the film doesn’t break new ground, it manages to be occasionally charming and captivating, particularly as the narrative unfolds. Hesham Abdul Wahab’s music seamlessly complements the film’s mood.

Hesham Abdul Wahab’s music beautifully weaves its way into the film’s fabric. As the first half concludes, a subtle hint suggests that Viplav may indeed experience his Mani Ratnam fantasy, albeit in an unexpected manner. The anticipation now builds for how the second half of the film will unfold and whether it can live up to these expectations.
