The new XUV 400 is based on the company’s XUV 300 and is the electric version of this car. Additionally, it is the first Mahindra EV to come with the twin-pixel logo. Bookings for it have commenced, and the company aims to deliver 20,000 units by the end of the first year. The price of this car starts from ₹15.99 lakh and goes up to ₹18.99 lakh.

The XUV 400 EV offers two battery pack options, including 39.4 kWh and 34.5 kWh variants, providing ranges of 456 kilometers and 375 kilometers, respectively.

The XUV400 features an electric motor on the front axle that produces 150bhp of power and 310Nm of torque. This car can reach a top speed of 150 kilometers per hour and takes 8.3 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour. It offers multi-drive modes (Fun, Fast, and Fearless) that adjust the throttle along with the regenerative braking system. Additionally, it includes a single-pedal driving mode called ‘Lively.’

With the smaller battery pack in the XUV400, there’s an option for a 3.3kW and a 7.2kW charger, while with the larger battery pack, only a 7.2kW charger option is available. Using the 7.2kW charger, it takes 6 hours and 30 minutes to charge it, while with a DC fast charger, the car can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 50 minutes.

Mahindra XUV 400 EV has a wheelbase of 2600 mm and a length of 4200 mm, making it larger than a sub-4m SUV.
