In this innings, Gill hit five towering sixes and three well-timed boundaries. Shubman Gill, along with Yashasvi Jaiswal, increased India’s run count. While at 77 runs, Gill was caught by Shepherd off Romario Shepherd’s delivery.

Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal provided an aggressive start to the Indian team. Both of them employed aggressive stroke-play to increase the run count. Gill and Yashasvi’s partnership troubled Windies’ bowlers with their attacking approach.

Together, they crafted a 66-run partnership for the first six overs. This duo contributed to India’s highest partnership in T20 format. Prior to this, the record was held by Virat Kohli and KL Rahul.
